Safety for our Children

The statistics are heartbreaking and shocking. The truth of the matter is we all probably know someone who has been a victim. Education and awareness is key to keeping ourselves AND our children safe. Talk to your kids early. Do not shy away from this topic. If you are not comfortable with talking openly with your child, then consider a book to help you. Talk to your local librarian to find an appropriate subject. Start there. Start ANYWHERE but do it, for the well being of your child. It is absolutely OK if our kids act "rudely" to strangers. Who cares if a stranger thinks our child is a little brat? I sure don't, as long as at the end of the day, my child is safe with me at home.
